A Fun Easter Egg for "Close-Up" Players
A quirky new feature has been added for players who try to get a little too close to Eve while she's wearing one of the Nier crossover outfits. If you attempt to upskirt Eve—or even pan the camera toward the area while she's skirtless—Eve will physically boot the camera away, making the screen shake. This humorous addition can be seen in Faz Faz's gameplay video on YouTube.
A Nod to Kaine from Nier: Replicant
This mechanic isn’t just for laughs—it’s a clever homage to Kaine from Nier: Replicant. In that game, Kaine reacts similarly, kicking the camera away if players try to upskirt her. Persistent players who do this ten times are even rewarded with the "Daredevil" trophy/achievement, though not before Kaine "kills" them. Nier: Automata also includes a playful mechanic where 2B shooes the camera away if it lingers inappropriately. Eve’s reaction in Stellar Blade is clearly inspired by these moments.
