Fortnite's current 'Remix' Season has been a huge hit, but it’s almost over. This Saturday marks the end of the season and the beginning of Chapter 6, Season 1. Players can look forward to an entirely new map, fresh movement mechanics, a new Battle Pass, and much more this weekend.
Chapter 6, Season 1 is titled ‘鬼 Hunters’ (Demon Hunters) and introduces an Asian/anime theme. Expect new locations with a distinctly Japanese flair, including cherry blossoms, Asian markets, and creatures that seem straight out of a Studio Ghibli film. The season will feature Yokai demons, Titans, mystical powers, and even the arrival of King Kong and Godzilla. A giant, floating turtle will also be one of the new highlights—adorable and mobile across the map. The new movement mechanics, including rolling and wall-running, promise to make this the most parkour-inspired Fortnite season yet.
Before Chapter 5 wraps up, players can join the epic season finale event, The Finale, which includes a massive Juice WRLD concert and the return of The Device. The event is especially poignant, given that Juice WRLD—born Jarad Anthony Higgins—passed away in 2019. The event will also feature a new track by Snoop Dogg, which you can read more about here. A free Juice WRLD skin and other exclusive items are available in the store until the end of the season.
The official end time for Chapter 5 and the 'Remix' season is 11 PM PT / 2 AM ET on Saturday, November 30th / Sunday, December 1st. However, since this marks the conclusion of an entire chapter, it’s possible the season will end immediately after The Finale event. If that’s the case, servers may go down shortly after 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, as the event lasts roughly 20 minutes. It’s possible the game will stay live for a bit longer, but once the event concludes, downtime will begin.
The new Chapter is expected to go live Sunday morning, barring any issues. Players will be able to update their games as soon as the servers come back online and dive into the fresh map. While we don’t have an exact end time, it’s a safe bet that by Sunday morning, you’ll be exploring the new world. I’ll update this post if any specific end times are confirmed, or if the servers go down early.
