Patel, 40, has criticized these officials as "government gangsters," a term he uses in his book addressing what he sees as pervasive "Deep State" corruption within the agency he may soon lead.
In a conversation with former Trump strategist Steve Bannon on the War Room podcast last year, Patel vowed broad investigations: “We will go out and find the conspirators. Not just in government, but in the media," he declared. "We’re going to come after you, whether it’s criminally or civilly.”
